About this policy

A draft based on the current product.

This draft describes the current FocuNest implementation. FocuNest is operated by the FocuNest development team, reachable at support@focunest.com. Deployment locations, retention schedule and applicable legal framework still need confirmation before it becomes an effective privacy notice.

Information used by FocuNest

Account details, saved work and service activity.

Email/password accounts use a name, email address, password hash and recovery credential data. Session records support sign-in and revocation. Optional Google sign-in uses basic profile identity, email and a Google account identifier; Google tokens are not retained by the application.

Account-backed work includes spaces, layouts, tasks, notes, uploaded media, whiteboards, presets and saved focus-session outcomes. Room features use memberships, roles, shared work and chat. Publications contain the content you explicitly select for sharing.

Authentication uses security counters derived from login attempts, including email and network-address inputs. Requests also provide technical connection information to the hosting service. Production logging and backup retention need operator confirmation.

How information is used

To provide the features you choose.

FocuNest uses account information to authenticate you and enforce ownership and room permissions. Work data lets you save and reopen spaces, collaborate, publish selected templates and view progress.

Session history supports focus totals and streaks. Security controls help limit abusive requests and protect access. Product analytics do not require multiplying room minutes by the number of members.

Cookies & device storage

Some information stays in your browser.

An HttpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in. Optional Google sign-in uses a temporary cookie to bind the sign-in flow. Blocking these cookies can prevent account features from working.

Browser storage keeps guest work, local drafts, theme and language preferences. Personal music queues and imported audio, goals, notification choices and break clocks are device-local. Account presets sync privately; guest presets remain local.

Clearing browser data can remove local work and sign-in state. It does not delete account data stored on the server. Adopt guest work explicitly to copy selected content into an account.

Rooms & public content

Your choices change who can see content.

Approved members can access the shared content of their room according to permissions. Personal work is not automatically copied into a room. Sharing information with others allows them to view or copy what is visible.

Public templates appear in Explore. Anyone with an unlisted link can access that publication. Review selected content and media before publishing. Memberships, chat and analytics are excluded from template publications.

Unpublishing stops new access to the publication; existing independent copies are not erased.

External services & AI

Optional integrations involve other providers.

The configured hosting and media-storage services process server-side data to operate FocuNest. The deployment design supports Cloudflare R2 for uploaded assets; the actual provider configuration and processing regions must be confirmed by the operator.

Choosing Google sign-in sends a sign-in request to Google. Cloud AI, when enabled, sends the selected context to the configured provider such as Gemini after you consent. Local-only mode uses the Ollama bridge on your device and does not silently fall back to cloud AI.

Playing external audio or displaying embedded YouTube content connects your browser to the external host, which receives connection information and may use its own storage technologies. Their privacy policies apply to their processing.

Retention & deletion

Hiding something is not always erasing it.

Guest data remains in browser storage until removed by you or the browser. Account work and history are stored on the server; this draft does not promise an unconfirmed deletion period.

Room chat clears when a room closes or expires. Room work and analytics remain read-only for approved members. Host deletion hides access but retains stored records. Copies of published templates can remain with people who created them.

A complete account-deletion or data-export self-service flow is not available in this release. Backup retention, operator handling of deletion requests and any legal retention requirements must be finalized before this notice is adopted.

Your choices & security

Control what you share and protect your access.

You can use guest mode, choose whether to adopt guest work, review publication content, decline cloud AI and leave optional external media unused. You can change your password or sign out; keep your recovery code private.

The application uses hashed passwords, revocable sessions and server-side access checks. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your legal rights depend on the rules that apply to the service and your location. Contact support@focunest.com about access, correction or deletion requests. The handling process and response timeframe remain to be finalized.
